The director of the Office of Government Ethics said Saturday that plans to confirm Donald J. Trump's top Cabinet choices before background checks are complete are unprecedented and have overwhelmed government investigators responsible for the reviews.
Sessions, who might otherwise face tough hearing, has plenty of fans among fellow senators
Donald Trump's pick for attorney general is genial, respectful and patient. And that has given fellow Republicans and even some Democrats reason not to scrutinize the more unsavory aspects of his political history, which includes racial allegations.
