As Middle East envoys scramble to mediate, Trump's tweets endorse pressure on Qatar
President Trump — who visited Saudi Arabia last month — posted Twitter messages endorsing the Saudi-led isolation of Qatar as an important step to squeeze suspected militant funding networks. The eruption of the long-simmering dispute has threatened deeply intertwined regional trade links and air routes.
Federal contractor charged, accused of giving classified NSA document to news organization
The criminal charge is the first from a leak investigation during the Trump administration. A person familiar with the case said it involves a document given to The Intercept website about a Russian hacking effort before the 2016 election.
