Senate passes spending bill, clearing way to end shutdown
The legislation moves to the House, which is expected to vote today. The Senate voted 81 to 18 on a spending bill that would fund the government through Feb. 8, reauthorize the Children's Health Insurance Program and roll back several health-care taxes. "I am pleased that Democrats in Congress have come to their senses," President Trump said in a statement.
