Judge temporarily blocks Trump's plan to rescind protections for 'dreamers'
A federal judge in San Francisco ruled that the Obama-era immigration protections must remain in place while legal challenges to President Trump's decision are pending. Trump had ordered DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, to end by March 5. Nearly 700,000 immigrants who were brought illegally to the United States as children could be at risk of deportation if DACA protections are revoked.
