Jeronimo Yanez, who fatally shot black motorist Philando Castile, was acquitted on all counts by a jury, a decision that comes nearly a year after the encounter outside the Twin Cities was partially seen live by a rapt nation in the midst of a painful reckoning over shootings by law enforcement.

The president fired off a rant of tweets attacking the special counsel's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, and apparently, Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein.
