At least 8 killed in Munich shooting, sparking manhunt
A rampage in a busy shopping area of the southern German city has sparked a manhunt for as many as three gunmen who fled the scene after carrying out an act of "suspected terrorism," authorities said.
After convention, GOP still trying to find itself
A traumatized Republican Party came to Cleveland hoping for a group therapy session, where members would talk through differences and head into the fall election and beyond with a renewed sense of identity. Instead, the week laid bare the fact that the party has become a set of warring tribes, with no coherent set of principles beyond a burning desire to keep Hillary Clinton out of the White House.

A 42-year-old Salt Lake County councilwoman was part of the delegation from Utah, home to Trump's most embarrassing defeat. And now the state's delegates were being asked to make the country's largest leap.
