Poll finds Trump's standing weakened since springtime
The president's overall approval rating has dropped to 36 percent from 42 percent in April, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. His disapproval has risen five points to 58 percent. Overall, 48 percent say they "disapprove strongly" of President Trump's performance in office, a level never reached by former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama and reached only in the second term of George W. Bush.
McConnell delays vote on Senate health bill again in wake of McCain's surgery
With Sen. John McCain at home recovering from surgery to remove a blood clot above his left eye, Republicans find themselves short of votes needed to advance the measure.
 
One GOP governor could decide Senate health bill's fate
Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval, who hasn't supported the Senate bill so far, is widely expected to sway the vote of his home-state colleague, Sen. Dean Heller. With two Republican senators already opposed to the health measure, a third "No" vote would doom it.
